Sokołów culinary workshops — the quality and taste of the Polish beef
The Sokołów has initiated a series of workshops aimed at promoting the latest culinary trends and a healthy, balanced diet. The first meeting was devoted to the topic of the Polish beef — its high quality and numerous culinary advantages. The highlight of the workshop, which has particularly caught the attention of guests, was the portioning the beef quarter presentation, combined with interesting information about this type of meat that’s so underestimated in our country.
The participants of the workshops, culinary bloggers and editors of the culture-culinary magazine "Kukbuk" met in the unique scenery of the Manor in Wola Suchożebrska.
In the first part of the meeting, the Sokołów chef Dominik Moskalenko presented cutting of a beef quarter, combined with practical knowledge on portioning. The guests were able to learn which part of the quarter do the different meat types come from, i.e. entrecote, roast beef, sirloin or filet mignon. Dominik Moskalenko has also explained the difference between wet and dry curing, and presented different national schools of meat portioning.
Next on the agenda was a collaborative cooking led by Dominic Moskalenko. Representatives of the "Kukbuk” magazine and bloggers prepared Caesar salad with Sokołów flank steak, Sokołow fried entrecote with baked potatoes and salad, and for dessert — apple pie from the pan. Then came the time for a meal in an impressive dining room and orangery. It was also an opportunity to talk about healthy eating with Agnieszka Piskała, a dietician and Sokołów nutrition expert.
With such meetings, the Sokołów S.A. company wants to contribute to improving awareness of the beef’s culinary and health benefits, and to increase its popularity. In Poland, people consume very little beef statistically — approx. 2 kg per person per year, while the EU average is approx. 15 kg per person per year. One of the significant factors affecting such low consumption of beef in our country is the belief that it is difficult to prepare. The Sokołów Qulinary Feast beef is a guarantee of the high-quality meat from Polish farms.
The meals prepared during the workshop are proof that beef dishes can be easy, tasty, and attractive.
