Stress-free Christmas at the Sokołów culinary workshops

The Sokołów has once again hosted bloggers – this time in the atmosphere of upcoming Christmas. The workshop participants not only perfected their culinary skills, but also embarked on a search for an answer to the question of how to avoid the pitfalls of the Christmas preparations frenzy.

The special guest of the meeting was Alina Wajda-Lamparska – a mentor and life-coach. The cooking part was led by the Sokołów S.A. chef Dominik Moskalenko who showed how to prepare original Christmas dishes that don’t require a lot of work. The handicraft workshops complemented this exceptional meeting. Each guest got a chance to make a beautiful decoration – a Christmas garden in a jar.

– The modern lifestyle, with its haste and stress, does not favour celebrating meals – says Marcin Bałanda, Sokołow S.A. PR and Communications Director. – At the Sokołów culinary workshops we encourage finding enjoyment in exploring the richness of tastes and show the beneficial influence it has on improving the quality of our lives. During the pre-Christmas haste let’s remember to not allow the tiredness and stress to ruin the exceptional Christmas atmosphere.

Alina Wajda-Lamparska — a mentor and a life coach — has prepared an interactive presentation showing ways of avoiding the Christmas traps. Each participant could take a special survey to define his or her approach to the Christmas preparations as one of the “4 elements” and draw personal conclusions. An exceptional atmosphere also accompanied the next part of the program — the DIY workshop, during which the guests have prepared Christmas decorations in a jar.

The dishes cooked according to the recipes of the Sokołów chef, Dominik Moskalenko, proved that preparing an exceptional Christmas menu does not necessarily mean long hours and labour-intensive preparations. – It’s worth using products that make our work easier, such as the ready-for-baking Sokołów Christmas Ham – says Dominik Moskalenko. – Another product ideal both for lunch and as an ingredient in exquisite Christmas salads is a slow-cooked meat — pre-cooked and marinated. Christmas menu featured baked roast beef with tartar sauce, Christmas ham baked in honey with cooked Brussels sprouts and bacon gravy, and slow-cooked pork shoulder in baked beet and Brussels sprouts salad with balsamic vinegar dressing.

– During the workshops it was our intention to motivate our guests first and foremost to find the time for themselves and their loved ones, which is the most important thing in celebrating moments shared together – summarizes Marcin Bałanda, Sokołow S.A. PR and Communications Director.
