Sokołów plays with the Great Orchestra of Christmas Charity once again

The 27th Finale of The Great Orchestra of Christmas Charity (WOŚP) is now behind us. As every year, the Sokołów S.A. company was actively involved in its organization, including supporting the Sokołów Podlaski, Jarosław and Koło headquarters. Record amounts have been raised in all those locations. The Sokołów S.A. President of the Management Board – Bogusław Miszczuk – has won an auction for a golden WOŚP heart. Sokołów was also present during the finale concert in Warsaw.

Every year, this unique event brings together millions of people working on helping others. The theme of this year’s final was "Helping is a child's play", and money raised will be spent on modern medical equipment for specialist children's hospitals. The Sokołów S.A. company has been actively supporting WOŚP for many years and this year could not have been any different.

Sokołów Podlaski – PLN 133,000 and a golden heart.

Over PLN 133,000 – this was a new record set in Sokołów Podlaski this year. Sokołów was the main sponsor of the Sokołów Podlaski headquarters. In addition to the annual fund-raising, many attractions awaited all WOŚP supporters. Sokołów traditionally supported the popular "Get Even with Diabetes” city run, which had two age categories: children, and youth and adults. Five winners in each category received commemorative gadgets. The company also provided dining facilities, providing ingredients for meals for all participants. As every year, the finale was accompanied by a blood-giving event in which 57 people took part.

This year's auction in Sokolow Podlaski was exceptional. One of the auctioned objects was the golden WOŚP heart. There are 100 golden hearts and most of them are auctioned in the main WOŚP headquarters by telephone, some via TV and radio stations, and only a few directly in other headquarters. The golden heart auctioned in the Sokołów Podlaski headquarters was bought, after fierce competition, by the Sokołów S.A. President of the Management Board Bogusław Miszczuk for a record amount of PLN 20,000. "Congratulations to all at the headquarters and to all volunteers”, said Bogusław Miszczuk after the auction. "Play on and I assure you that we will support you next year.

Koło, Jaroslaw, Osie – record amounts raised, a charity run and ice bathers.

The company was also engaged in the WOŚP finals organised in other cities where its branch offices are located. In Koło the street fund-raiser was accompanied by an outdoor event and an auction of gadgets. A "Get Even with Diabetes” run took place here for the first time, with over 200 participants. Sokołów has donated products that were used during the barbecue and bonfire. Here too, a new fund-raising record was set with almost PLN 110,000.

Sokołów was a patron of the local WOŚP headquarters in Jarosław. The company donated products, which served as ingredients from which meals for the volunteers were prepared. Sokołów supported the participants of the charity ice swim, providing them with commemorative towels and fleece jackets. Almost PLN 123,000 – this is a new fund-raising record set this year in Jarosław.

The main sponsor of the finale in Osie was Gzella Group (acquired last year by the Sokołów Group), which also supplied products for meals for the volunteers.

Sokołów was also present in the main WOŚP tent set next to the Palace of Culture and Science in Warsaw. Participants were served meat snacks and dishes prepared from Sokołów products.
