Once again, Sokołów S.A. plays with WOŚP
Great success of the event - PLN 90,000 in Sokołów Podlaski and PLN 95,000 in Jarosław collected for WOŚP. Over 100 participants of the “Deal with Diabetes” run. Over 40l of blood donated, meaning a chance for life for at least 20 patients. The Great Orchestra of Christmas Charity, actively supported by Sokołów S.A., ended with great success in Sokołów Podlaski and Jarosław.
As every year, Sokołów S.A. joined the Final of the Orchestra i.a. as a main patron of the “Deal with Diabetes” run. Each year, the run gathers more and more participants, and the knowledge on diabetes and healthy lifestyle grows. This time, a record number of over 100 runners had turned up at the starting line. Sokołów S.A. cared for their safety, by providing them with reflective vests. The first 5 runners received bags filled with gadgets.
All volunteers and guests could count on a hot meal prepared by the Sokołów chef — Dominik Moskalenko. From the early morning right until the traditional “Light to Heaven”, one could try excellent hamburgers straight from the barbecue and the best hot dogs.
In Sokołów Podlaski alone we have collected over PLN 90,000. During the Final, an auction of items provided by local artists and enthusiasts took place. A painting by Ewa Kunicka from the collection of the Skrzeszew RE Gallery enjoyed special interest. Thanks to the active bidding by Bogusław Miszczuk, company CEO, Sokołów S.A. Group became a new owner of the masterpiece. With over PLN 95,000 collected, also Jarosław can boast a record sum.
But Sokołów S.A.’s activities weren't limited to Sokołów Podlaski. The company's commitment was also visible at the Jarosław town square and in the very centre of Sunday events — the Parade Square in Warsaw. 5,000 l of hot “Sokołów” soup was able to feed and warm up over 14,000 people.
For many years Sokołów S.A has been actively supporting the Great Orchestra of Christmas Charity, which — since its creation — has donated over PLN 720 m to Polish healthcare. The money collected this year will be used to equip paediatric and geriatric wards. Thanks to years of efforts, the hospital in Sokołów Podlaski has received equipment worth over PLN 1,300,000. We are hoping that this is not the end and are already looking forward to our meeting next year!
